HOPPER Notes to be counted are placed in the Hopper. AUXILIARY HOPPER PLATES Guide plates for leading the notes into the feeding mechanism. HANDLE Used for carrying the machine. PAPER THICKNESS ADJUSTMENT SCREW Used to make the machine count notes smoothly regardless of paper thickness that may vary with denominations. (Gate adjustment of this machine has been made at the factory.) STACKER Counted notes are stacked in the Stacker. POWER SWITCH Main power on/off switch. CONNECTING PORT FOR I/F CONNECTOR (option) Used to connect a Communication Line. (connected with an optional RS-232C,Customer Display.)
BATCH NUMBER DISPLAY The optioned number of notes to be batched is displayed here. DOUBLE NOTE DETECTION LEVEL KEY This key changes the threshold for double note detection according to the degree of stain/printing darkness of notes to be counted. ADD KEY By this key, the machine is set so that each counted number of notes in a bundle successively set in the Hopper can be added up. (add function) DD KEY By pressing this key, the size of the first counted note is memorized and in case a smaller or larger size note is detected, the machine will stop. COUNTING SPEED CHANGE KEY Counting speed is selected from the four rates. (1800, 1500, 1000, 500 notes/min.) AUTO/MANUAL KEY Start of counting operation can be set either to Auto start or to Manual start. CF KEY(except for GFB800/900) By pressing this key, the machine will stop in case a counterfeit note is detected. (CF stop function)
1.Switch on the machine. 0 will be displayed on the Counted Number Display and 100 will be displayed on the Batch Display. 2.Check the double note detection level and set it if necessary. By pressing the Double Note Detection Level Key, set a proper threshold for double note detection according to the degree of stain/printing darkness of notes to be counted. Every press of this key will change the position of the Levellamp. For notes which are stained or printed dark, set the Levellamp to the position . For notes which are new or printed light, set the lamp to the position . When the lamp of the machine is set to the AUTO position, a proper threshold is set automatically. Note: When dirty notes are mixed, do not use the AUTO position as there is a possibility that the detection function does not work correctly. Please set notes at the center of the Hopper. If they are laterally shifted to the right or left greatly, there is a possibility that correct detection cannot be assured.
4.Set the optional batch number. Set the batch number by pressing the BATCH Key. Every time this key is pressed, one of the preset values 10, 20, 25, 50, 100 or (infinity) will be displayed by rotation on the Batch Number Display. Counting operation will stop when the counting number reaches the set batch number. In case ainfinityis selected on the Batch Number Display, the machine will count up all notes placed in the Hopper without interruption. Any optional batch number (1999) other than the preset values can be set by pressing the Ten Keys Pad.

Sensors are used for the counting system of this machine. As these sensors are of optical construction, the system may cause miscounting should dust, dirt, etc. stick to the sensors. Clean the sensors shown on the photo below with an brush when counting operation is finished. Piece of paper, dust and/or trash etc. accumulated in the Hopper and/or stacker may be taken into the machine; this may cause a malfunction of the machine. Clean the Hopper and Stacker in the same way as above. Auto start sensor IR sensor (GFB900 Series only)
