Explanation & Procedure Non-fiction books about significant discoveries/people relating to air/flight air inventions and people that discovered them. Focus on one text/book for the entire unit. Measurement: Objects and events have attributes that can be measured using appropriate tools. Relationships exist between standard units that measure the same attributes. Accuracy of measurements depends on the situation and the precision of the tool.

Pattern and Function: By analysing patterns and identifying rules for patterns it is possible to make predictions. Patterns can often be generalized using algebraic expressions, equations or functions.
