we continue along the Mediterranean Coast and through the panoramic Galilee to Mount Carmel to visit the Cave

where the Prophet Elijahs challenged the Priests of Baal. We then stop in Haifa for a view of the beautiful land famous Bahai Gardens. Dinner and night in Nazareth.

Jan 9: Around the Sea of Galilee


After breakfast we begin our day with a visit of Mount of Beatitudes (Matthew 5:7), the place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. We continue to Tabgha, the site of the Multiplication of Fish and Loaves (Matthew 14: 14-34), and visit the Church of Multiplication with its fourth century mosaic floor. Will then drive to Capernaum, where Jesus dwelt after he left Nazareth and where he started his ministry on earth. We visit the ruins of the second century ancient synagogue and St. Peter's home. After a special Saint Peters Fish lunch, we embark on a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus walked on the water (Matthew 14: 22-23). We visit the Jesus boat in Kibbutz Ginosar, a fisher boat from the times of Jesus. We return to our hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight.

Jan 10: Mount Tabor, Nazareth, Cana in the Galilee


We start the day with a drive through the Lower Galilee to Mt. Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration and enjoy the panoramic view over the Jezreel Plain and Megiddo, the place where the last battle of mankind is due to take place (according to the Apocalypse of St. John). We visit the Wedding Church in Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first miracle at the wedding feast (John 2:1-11). We then drive to Nazareth to visit the ancient Grotto of the Annunciation (Luke, 26:28), where the Angel Gabriel announced the birth of Jesus to Mary. We visit Josefs house and walk to Marys Well. Dinner and night at our hotel in Nazareth.

Jan 11: Jordan Baptism Site, Jericho, Dead Sea


After breakfast we enjoy a panoramic drive along the Jordan valley. We stop at the Kasser al-Yehuds Batismal Site, where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Time to reniew our baptism voews. We then enter the ancient city of Jericho, and see Zacchaeus Sycamore Tree, Elishas Fountain and climb-up Mount Korontos, where Jesus was tempted (cable car not included). We continue to the world-famous, mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea for a float. drive through the Judean desert wilderness up to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Jan 12: Mount Zion, Ein Karem


We have time to rest in the morning. After lunch, we visit the Holy Sites on Mount Zion: The room where Jesus and his disciples had the Last Supper, the Dormition Church, where Mary fell into her eternal sleep and the Tomb of King David. We then drive through the New City of Jerusalem, stop at the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament, and visit its famous Menorah (candelabrum). We then continue to Ein Kerem the birthplace of John the Baptist and the Church of Visitation, where the Virgin Mary came to visit Elisabeth (Luke 1:3980). Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Jan 13: Departure


We enjoy free time for shopping and personal activities in the morning. Airport transfer and homebound flight according to your flight schedule.
