PleaseusetheseinstructionstocorrectlyadjusttheModelsettingsafterMainUnitreplacement: 1. AfterreplacingtheMainUnit,powerontheunitinServiceMode. a. WhileholdingInputandVolkeysonthesideoftheunit,plugintheA/Ccord. b. Whentheunitpowerson,awhiteletterKshouldbeontheleftofthescreeninabluebox.When youseethis,letgoofInputandVol. c. QuicklypressandreleaseChandVol.ThisshouldactivatetheServiceMenu. d. IftheChandVolarenotpressedquickly,theunitmayshutdownduetoaLampError.Ifthis happens,unplugtheA/CcordandrestartStep#1. 2. Onceintheservicemenu,youmayseethebelowsymptoms: a. Ontheleftsideofthescreen,anoticeableblackgapof12inchesmayappear. b. Neartherightsideofthescreen,a1inchthickverticallineofdistortionmayappear. c. Ifanytextisbeingdisplayed,itmayappearcutoffortruncated.

PresstheUpArrowkeyontheremotecontroltoadvancetoPage40/40intheServiceMenu. UsetheChannelbuttontomovedownthelistonPage40/40,untilyouhighlightPANELLIMIT PresstheLeftArrowkey<ontheremotetochangethevaluefromONtoOFF,andpress Enterontheremote. a. ThisPanelLimitsettinglocksthecurrentsizesetting.Turningitoffallowsyoutochangethe PanelSize. UsetheChannel+buttontomoveupthelistuntilyouhighlightPANELSIZE.

a. ThevaluenexttoPANELSIZEwilleitherbe32,40,46,52,60or65(whichcorrespondsto thepossiblescreensizesforthatmodelseries). b. IfthePANELSIZEvaluenumberdoesnotmatchthecurrentscreensizeforthisunit (example:IfanLC40LE700UNhasaPanelSizelistedas52),thenanadjustmentneedsto bemade. c. TheDKEYMF282FM01/FM10shouldhaveaModelNameofLE700,theDUNTKF282FM08 shouldhaveaModelNameofC700andtheDUNTKF282FM11shouldhaveaModel NameofC77.IftheModelNameisincorrectforthetypeofboard,thisshouldbechanged aswell. 7. UsetheVol+and/orVolbuttonsontheremotetoselectthecorrectPanelSizevalueforthis model. a. OnceyouveselectedthecorrectPanelSize,pressEnterontheremotetosavethatsetting. b. Oncethesettingchangeismade,thescreenwillgoblackforasecondandthenreturntothe adjustedsize. c. Whenthescreenreturnsitmaybedarker,butshouldstillbevisible.Itwillremaindarker untiltheendofthisprocedureandthisisexpected.ThePanelSizevalueshouldhavethe wordsOKOKafterit.

8. UsetheDownArrowKeyontheremotetoreturntoPage1/40intheServiceMenu. 9. CheckonPage1/40foranyLAMPERRORs.IfthereareLampErrors,proceedbelow.Ifthereare noLampErrors,proceedtoStep#10. a. Ifthescreenisdark,thevaluesmaybehardtoreadsoyoumayneedtousetheCh+or Chbuttonsontheremotetohighlightthenecessaryfieldstocheckthevalues. b. IfthereareanyLAMPERRORs,presstheDownArrowkeytoproceedtoPage2/40onthe ServiceMenu. c. UsetheChbuttonontheremotetohighlighttheLAMPERRORRESETfield. d. PresstheRightArrowkeyontheremotetochangeLAMPERRORRESETfromOFFto ONandpressEnter.ThiswillremoveanyLamperrorsthatmayhaveaccumulated.

10. OnPage2/40,usetheCh+buttonontheremotetohighlightINDUSTRYINIT. a. PresstheRightarrowkeyontheremotetochangethevaluefromOFFtoON. b. PressEnterontheremotetobegintheInitializationprocess. 11. WhenyouseetheGreenscreenconfirmingtheunithasbeeninitialized,unplugtheA/Ccord.This willsaveallthesettings. 12. PlugtheA/Ccordbackin. 13. Checktoconfirmthedisplayappearsnormal,andthattheunitpowersupnormally. 14. Iftheunitdoesnotpowerupnormally,orthedisplaystillshowsthesymptoms,unplugtheA/Ccord andretrythisprocedurestartingatStep#1.
