Good morning everyone, In mid August we were given the approval to proceed with the Kings Campus wireless

project, at which time I instructed Dalhousie ITS we would be starting this project as soon as possible. I also met with the President of KSU, Anna Dubinski to discuss the project and ask for KSU input as to where the students would like to see the installation start. I also requested Dal-ITS temporarily install wireless in the KTS classroom, Prince Hall and room 311 North Pole Bay,( Room 311 North Pole Bay was to become a Wi-Fi lounge but is presently being used as a dorm room) which was completed. First step in the wireless project involved acquiring AutoCAD drawings /floor plans for all campus buildings, after which a wireless survey would take place; this step is in progress and should be completed soon. We will be starting the installation in the NAB and the Link this month, then addressing the residences; remaining buildings will come on stream as soon as possible. Schedule at this point is to have the majority of the work completed by the end of December. We will be consulting with all those people or departments affected and will try and keep any disruption or construction noise to a minimum. Thank you for your cooperation. Alex
