2. Please comment on the teacher candidate's overall effectiveness of instruction and the use of developmentally appropriate strategies.

Meghan is doing a fantastic job in my class. Being the inclusion class, we have a very diverse group with a variety of skill levels, learning styles, and behaviors. Meghan has been working hard on differentiating the execution of her lesson plans by using guided groups in most subjects. She is also working on recognizing and remediating students who need additional help with certain skills.

2. Please comment on the teacher candidate's impact on student discipline.

Meghan and I have discussed the importance of classroom management and how it can be one of the most difficult aspects of teaching. She does, in fact, follows the guidelines that we set up at the beginning of the school year. The struggles occur (once again) with the diverse group of students we have and some of the special circumstances that have an impact on their behaviors. Meghan strives to improve each day, though.
3. Please comment on the teacher candidate's ability to lead the class.

Meghan is fun, energetic, and engaging with the students. She does a great job of reviewing previous day's lessons before jumping into a new lesson. If she doesn't feel they are ready to move on, she does remediating before moving on.

2. Please comment on the teacher candidate's professionalism, atttitudes, and demeanor throughout the period of observation.

Meghan has an outstanding attitude, dresses and behaves very professionally, and has great work ethic. My administrators have commented how impressed they are with her professionalism, as well. She is accepting of constructive feedback, and she adjusts her performance accordingly. In fact, when we meet weekly, she already knows what worked and what didn't work and comes prepared with possible solutions.
