Mechanical method for bore size not greater than 50 mm Do not apply direct blow on bearings Mounting / dismounting force must never pass through rolling elements. Modify shaft , if possible, to enable puller legs to grasp the inner rings from rear for dismounting. Never use metallic pipes / bars for fitting bearings Do not use steel hammer Do not use emery paper on bearing seating on shaft Oil bath temperature to be monitored Measure temperature on bearing inner ring Stir the oil in the bath Use clean and thick oil in oil bath Keep bearings suspended in the oil Industion heater must have automatic demagnetizer Keep bearing and shaft covered during idle period Use oil injection method for large bearings, wherever possible.
