What if all of our resources were gone?

Imagine what it would all look like without all of our natural resources. Well in these two movies The Lorax by Dr. Sues and Easters End by Jared Diamond they talk about how their society abuses all the natural resources around them endangering themselves. In the story The Lorax there is a man named the Once-Ler who discovers Truffula trees. He uses these trees to profit. As for Easters End the islanders use the trees in the habitat to move the islander heads which symbolize there gods. The Once-Ler did make profit and caused his family to join the production. However on the island side they were losing all their trees by multiple clans cutting them down and no profit was being made. Another reason the stories differentiate is that in the story of The Lorax the OnceLer was warned multiple times by the Lorax, the Lorax is the guardian of all the trees and animals well he told the Once-Ler that if he didnt stop cutting down the Truffula trees, the animals that depended on the trees would soon disappear or leave. As for Easters End no one was there to warn the islanders, the islanders progressed in there destruction of trees in fact they began hunting many seabirds causing the population to drop dramatic rates making the species to almost go into extinction. There were many differences about both stries due to the fact that one was non fictional and the other was fictional. Other than the fact that both stories habitats were wiped out there are other similarities that both stories share. A chain effect within the ecosystem took place in both stories, removing the Truffula trees caused the animals that depended on the trees to go elsewhere. In Easters End many of the birds that lived in the trees they lived in or fed off soon had to leave the island due to the fact that all the tress were being cut off, many species that once lived there cannot be found today. In The Lorax because of the manufacturing of Thneeds the Truffula tree became scarce and at the end there was only one seed left. However, that tree is now extremely scarce. Easters End rope could have been made from the fiber of small native trees called the hauhau . In both Stories The Lorax and Easters End there were many similarities and differences. The most unfortunate difference is that Easters End was a true story and if you think about it there are still countries out there doing the same thing to their resources. the. All over the world you hear about deforestation occurring, The Lorax and Easters End are mere examples of what could happen to all those places in the future if they continue taking their natural resources for granted .
