Moisture and cloud coverage detected covering most of Minnesota into Wisconsin and over the great lakes. Also over Nebraska and Kansas. Looks like the cloud coverage or storm is moving from Nebraska over into Minnesota and over the great lakes into Canada and towards the east coast.

Traces of rain around the great Salt lake. The Northern Eastern side of the lake shows heavy storms.

This shows there is traces and light rain surrounding the Minnesota area.

There are geotropic and gradient winds off the east coast flowing into Rhode Island creating a trough off the east coast. Also another trough is forming over Arizona and New Mexico. There are also gradient winds in Texas all the through up into the East Coast. Minnesota as a trough surrounding the Minneapolis area and towards southern Minnesota. Minneapolis is on the east side of the trough so I predict the rain storm may get heavier and its associated with strong winds. Summary the forecast from the National Weather Service was correct Base on my decision and
analysis on the METAR data I collected. Although I predicted their would be more rain in KMSP. Weather verifying tools have helped me get more precise data when all tools are combined together. Its nice to read the METAR to get a general idea what is going on in a precise location but when looking at the Doppler and Satellite maps along with the 500 Hpa map you not only get the forecasted weather but you can see and understand where the storms are forming and where they are moving to.
