Throughout the 5th and 6th Grade guides, terminology will be used to stress the importance of certain subject areas over others. As the books being used cover slightly more information than they need in their current year.

Focus should instruct that the information is either new or very important and needs to be taken at a pace that ensures Student Proficiency. Review and Re-teach implies that students should have already the material to some extent, and hopefully only need some refreshment. Modify will appear when the information to above the grade level and needs to be changed to meet the needs of the students.
