LIFTING OF THE OVERNIGHT PARKING BAN FOR 2013 HOLIDAYS

DATE: April 29, 2013 Parking is generally prohibited on all streets from 2:30 a.m. - 6 a.m., seven days per week, year around, except when allowed by permit or pass. On occasions when the overnight parking ban is lifted, on-street parking is allowed in non-permitted areas as long as all other parking safety-related regulations are abided by. As a courtesy to residents and their guests, during several holidays this year the on-street overnight parking ban will not be enforced on the following dates:
Holiday Memorial Day (May 27) Ban Lifted Starting 2:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25th Ban Resumes (ticketing begins) 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29th 2:30 a.m. Monday, July 8th 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4th 2:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2nd 2:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3rd 2014

Independence Day (July 4) 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 3rd Labor Day (Sept. 2) Thanksgiving (Nov. 28) Christmas/New Year
(Dec. 25/Jan. 1, 14)

2:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31st 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28th 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21st

Enforcement will continue over the holidays for: daytime metered parking. overnight parking areas where parking permits are required, such as Village owned lots, on-street enclaves or on-street overnight parking zones. any other parking restrictions, including all daytime posted restrictions and regulations related to traffic and public safety priorities.

Therefore, residents who will be out of town for the holidays and require 24 hour parking should consider parking in a Village owned parking structure for the posted daily parking rate or call 708-358-7275 (option 4) in advance of the holidays for more information. Parking Services will update the overnight parking pass line message to reflect the above directive since an operator will not be on duty during the periods noted herein.
