1. You are on a 4 day rock climbing trip, youve reached where you planned to camp and erect your tents. However you find that the ground is solid rock and therefore cannot dig a toilet. How do you resolve this issue? How would you justify your decision? 2. You are on a 3 day canoe trip, on the 2nd day you reach the island where you are to camp, however the dimensions of the island are only 50m x 60m. where would you toilet? How would you justify this decision? 3. You are on a 2 day bush walk and a student asks you if they can throw their apple core on the ground how do you help them come to a justifiable decision? 4. You are on day 1 of a 4 day bushwalk, you arrive at camp, the weather is mild, your group are fit and healthy and you have trangias to cook on. The students still want to have a fire how do you help them come to a justifiable decision? 5. You are on an alpine cross country skiing trip, you arrive at where you are going to camp, do you camp as one big group or 2 smaller ones? Or do you have any other suggestions? How would you justify your decision? 6. You are at the coast on a surf trip, you see signs at the beach saying that a particular species of bird is endangered do you give the birds your food scraps to help them survive? How would you justify your decision?
