ife is like a box of chocolates, wow that's deep, add that to a box full of other life quotes and that's been filling my head this month! As my Yo Bro (older brother) turned 40 this month I gave him a box full of life quotes attached to an item of significance. So tequila, lemon and a tub of salt with the when life hands you lemons quote etc. and so forth. I even made up a few Antonia originals....like some different flavoured lollipops with "when life sucks, pick your flavour". This month I was out and about doing mainly Varoma demonstrations, which I love because it means I am back with an owner seeing how they are going. First stop was Mrs Physio. As a mum with an under one, of course she is enjoying the baby food side of Thermomix. Geez I wish I had mine for my babies. This was a great evening demo as all the ladies enjoyed the food being sampled. Nothing makes me happier than seeing empty plates! Next stop was Mrs Your Place. This was awesome because we did this one on her outdoor entertaining area with a large group from the apartments complex she lives in. Great to see some familiar faces there. In fact one guest who is a Thermomix owner asked about a substitute for almond meal in recipes as her son has a sever allergy. My research has found that using plain flour with some added fat (like butter, oil or coconut butter); otherwise using pepitas (milled to the same texture) is an exact exchange. In fact it appears some people prefer the taste of pepitas in their macarons! This lively bunch of ladies also discussed the Shades of Grey book series and of course that got my attention! Heading over to Mrs Etiquette (her manners are impeccable), I see that her daughter has got her fast tracked in using her Thermomix! A guest joked that maybe we could just do a demo at the golf club! No jokes about it, what a fantastic idea! We sure could, simply charge a $10 entry fee and donate that money to the club or a chosen charity! I welcome the opportunity for fundraising! Mr Etiquette sat in to pick up some tips for starting to use the Thermomix himself! Can I now introduce a new owner, Mrs Convivial (it is not an everyday adjective so go on, look it up!)? Now I have met some of the coolest people being a consultant on the Gold Coast, but this demo!my last for the month, knocked even my socks off! Mrs Convivial is new to the Gold Coast just like me, the biggest difference is the wonderful network of friends she has! Five ladies attended this demo and we discussed all manner of things. There was laughter and tears at this demonstration and I was reminded how truly magnificent it is to have an afternoon chattering with people that are as fun as they are analytical! Mrs Convivial thinks that she may be able to have another 2 demos with different friends!
