It will be a great event and one the audience will surely enjoy based on reviews and the sold-out shows. Among the reviews, the two below capture the audience response to Avenue Q:
Signal Tribune: Hats off to the creators of Avenue Q for a delightfully unique audience experience. Not only do the musicals puppet characters express a full range of emotion, but so do their human puppeteers. The overall effect of this high-profile Long Beach Playhouse production is a doubly satisfying performance for the price of one. Gazette Newspapers: The Studio Theatre (upstairs above the Long Beach Playhouse Mainstage) just keeps getting better and better. In fact, the current production of Avenue Q is so good that I honestly dont know where to start.

Ticket sales support the HSLB LGBT History Project which includes an exhibit currently on display at the HSLB gallery in Bixby Knolls, three upcoming programs and a permanent archive that will be available to researchers and the public for generations to come. This production is a partnership with the Long Beach Playhouse which offers discounted performances as fundraisers for the citys non -profits. The Long Beach Playhouse is located at 5021 Anaheim Street, between Clark and Ximeno. ### Historical Society of Long Beach 4260 Atlantic Avenue, Long Beach CA 90807 562.424.2220 www.hslb.org
