The earth only has 6% of wetlands, but we need wetlands since having them is beneficial to our ecosystem. Wetlands can be found in a wide variety of topographical settings and can easily change one important thing, their water level. With the change in the water level there will come a change in the animals and plants. They are being destroyed for development, however there is much more than that going on. There are many animals and plants that depend on the wetlands for resources such as food shelter. However wetlands are being destroyed by us. Wetlands can do so much for us without us even realizing it. C: Write a reaction paragraph to the article stating your own thoughts on the topic, using specific citations from the article to support your views I believe we should keep these remaining wetlands safe and protected. Wetlands are helping many animals but if we just keep destroying. Before reading this article I didnt realize how important wetlands were important to our ecosystem. We used the wetlands that we take homes from animals and use that location for our own. We should do our best to keep the remaining 6% safe.

So What?

Wetlands are important to us and our ecosystem. They provide animals with shelter and food. Says Who? says Jon A. Kusler Williams J. Mitsch and Joseph S. Larson. Many other scientist What if..? We didnt have anymore wetlands? Many of animals will have to search in different locations for food Many animals will have to find a location for shelter. What Does This Remind Me Of? This reminds me of the ocean acidification lab Since we we simulate how it would be like without the ocean which could happen to our wetlands.
