"Beggar thy neighbor" Company joined together creating a monopoly Free trade would be fine so long as all other countries practiced it.
4. Historic hyperinflation
1860's - U.S. Confederacy(civil war) After World War I - Russia and Germany. After World War II - China and Brazil 1970's - Chile and Argentina
Take for example; there are two men, both men are engineers. One of these men is a genius, and works 5 times harder than the other man. The genius is single and lives alone. Now the other man is ok at what he does, but he has a family of five. So even though the genius works harder and is better at what he does than the other, he still receives less then the other man. This society collapses because there is no modivation
for the people, no dreams, no innovation, nothing to aspire to because no matter how great you are you will still receive the same as someone doing far less. A far more confusing matter to me would be the Judicial System. How would this work with Fair shares for all? The bottom line is that a society built on fair shares for all will not work. Just take the hippy communitys as a example. The hippy movement in the 60s, were did all the communitys go? Why did they vanish? Did the people realize that they didnt want Fair shares for all? Did they realize that they could give their family a much better way of life? That they could give themselves a better way of life? I am an American citizen born and raised. I believe our founding fathers had the best idea of government. But with everything good in this life there is always someone that get some power and lets it go to his head. Our government is full of greedy men and it has been for years. As long as these men with bad moral ethics keep getting put in office, our country will drift further and further away from the ideas of our founding fathers. And from the idea of what could be the best country/government in the world.
"eflective writing
I feel I gained a lot of knowledge from reading this book, it helped with every one of the learning outcomes. I want to read it again though, just because the first time I was rushing through it to find answers. There are parts in it where I could help but slow down because of such interest. At the end of the book I could help but sit there for a minute and think about how
there are real solutions out there, solutions that people have written in books. Solutions to some of our nations biggest problems, and yet these problems are still problems. These solutions are good solutions too, maybe someone wants these problems to remain. I really enjoys enjoyed in the introduction how he said that the government should act as a referee not a actual player it s a very good !uote. I also found it very interest how close our government is to a hyperinflation. It makes me want to move out of the country. I guess the learning outcomes from reading this book were not huge. "ut more the thought of his idea s are made so interesting. I guess my personal disgust with our government now has grown a little bit bigger from reading this book. #or e$ample, the thought of how we have a way to get rid of welfare and yet we still have it. I guess some presidents really need it in order to get re%elected though, ha. &ore than anything this book has made me feel disgust, for our government and for our people. 'ow time after time from ()* years ago till now, our government grows more powerful and the people that can make a change don t. They just stand back let it happen and watch there bank account numbers get higher. It s a problem and one I fear will never be fi$ed.
