I have been actively searching for a graduate assistant position for the fall of 2014 and am very intrigued by your posting on the NATA job board. My career goals are to work as a collegiate football athletic trainer as well as being an intricate part of the education of students who are looking to pursue a career in Athletic Training. Central Michigan University offers the unique opportunity to enhance my clinical skills, obtain a Masters Degree in Sport Administration, as well as be involved with an accredited undergraduate program, all of which directly correlate to my long term goals. At this time I am completing my final clinical rotation before embarking on my senior internship with the Indiana University football program. While at Indiana my main focus will be on the rehabilitation of the athletes who were injured during the season as well as spring football coverage. Not only will this enhance my knowledge and implementation of rehabilitation, but it will also continue to shape my personal philosophy of treating the athlete as a whole, not just the area of injury. Additionally I have had collegiate baseball experiences with both Grand Valley State University and Davenport University. As discussed further in my resume, these experiences have provided me opportunities to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of injuries. It is because of this knowledge, my experiences, and willingness to put forth the extra effort needed that I would be a valuable addition to the athletic training staff, students and athletes at Central Michigan University. The graduate assistant experience at Central Michigan University is in direct alignment with my career goals of both working collegiate football and pursuing sports administration. In response to your posting on the NATA job board, I have attached is my resume with list of references for your review. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing opportunities to gain experience with your program. I strongly believe that I will be beneficial to the Chippewa athletic community. Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions please contact me via email at koopst@mail.gvsu.edu, or by phone at 616-990-0241. Sincerely,

Tyler Koops
