MISSION STATEMENT

The Department of General Services purchases supplies and equipment for the City,
provides architectural, engineering, and construction services to 14 City agencies,
manages agency telephone services, and plans and manages citywide energy conservation
efforts. In addition, the Department operates and maintains 41 public buildings,
including court facilities; acquires, manages, sells, and leases all City owned
non-residential real property; operates the WNYC radio and television stations, and
publishes the City Record and Green Book.
