MISSION STATEMENT

Established by Section 225(b) of the New York City Charter, the Office is responsible for
developing the Mayor's Preliminary and Executive Budgets, and for advising the Mayor
on all policy issues affecting the City's fiscal stability and the effectiveness of City services.
The Director serves as a member, ex-officio, of the New York City Municipal Water
Finance Authority.
