MISSION STATEMENT

The Law Department serves as the attorney and counsel for the City and its agencies, and
serves as representative in virtually all law suits brought for or against the City. In
addition to handling litigation on the City's behalf, the Department also prepares and
reviews contracts, legislation, and fiscal and bond documents, and renders legal opinions.
