Chicago, IL The Liz Leigh Contemporary Dance Company is proud to announce Infatuation, its upcoming three part series presented during the months of July, August and September, featuring the works of artists: Patrick McGannon, Corinna Button and Kimberly Thurston. Infatuation explores a modern day love affair through the stages of: lust, love and disenchantment . The new series is inspired by the Liz Leigh Dancers interpretation of classical and modern day still art. Utilizing artistic mediums in a way not seen today, each part of the series will leave audiences anticipating the next. Lust, part one of the series is inspired by the works of Patrick McGannon and will take place in July at the Addington Gallery. Highlighting the fluidity of McGannons work, the LL Dancers date to explore the desire and drive encompassed in the very core of lust. Artist Corinna Button inspired Love, part two of the series, which will take place in August at the Zhou B Art Center. Love will embrace the contemporary abstractness of Cottons still art and follow the passion escalating between the LL Dancers. The last installment of the Infatuation series, Disenchantment, comes to a close in September with the work of Kimberly Thurston at the Zhou B Art Center. Disenchantment dares to explore the trials and tribulations of a relationship leading to a breakup. According to Co-Founder Kelsey LeBlanc, In forming the concept for Infatuation, we tried to really focus on bringing the audience on a journey. We wanted to actualize the feelings of lust, love and disenchantment as interpreted from the artwork and capture and highlight the sometimes unseen beauty of pieces. The Liz Leigh Company has been known as the group who strives to push boundaries while infusing the worlds of modern dance with classical and contemporary art. Inspiration is sought from the some of the

worlds best established and up-and-coming artists. Art exhibitions are then brought to life through dance, and are performed in the very setting the artwork is displayed. As a part of Infatuations promotional campaign, the Liz Leigh Company is giving their audience members and fellow dance community a chance to get involved . Dancers will have the opportunity to choreograph a short dance piece for the chance for it to be featured in Septembers performances of Disenchantment. Not only will the winners choreography be recognized at all Septembers showing, but they will receive a package of tickets for the entire Infatuation series. Deadline for entry is June 5th.
