Distributive Property

The Distributive Property is an algebra property which is used to multiply a single term and two or more terms inside a set of parentheses. Take a look at the problem below. 2(3+6) Because the binomial "3 + 6" is in a set of parentheses, when following the Order of Operations, you must rst nd the answer of 3 + 6, then multiply it by 2. This gives an answer of 18. 2(3 + 6) 2(9) 18

How To Do

7x - 10 - 9x = -13 Move the 10 to the the other side which is answer(that makes it a opposite which is plus) 7x - 9x = -13 + 10 = -3 -2x = -3 Now we nd the x which means division x = -3 / -2 = 1.5 x= 1.5

Inequalities on a number

1. An open circle is placed on the number line to show that the number denoted at the circle is not included in the solution set. 2. A circle that is filled in is placed on the number line to show that the number denoted at the circle is included in the solution set. Example x<4 Solution The problem asks me to graph all numbers that less than 4
