ABSTRACTS

Metal alloys are metallic materials consisting of two or more elements combined in such a way that they cannot be readily separated by physical means. Biggest component as base metal mixed with material alloying in chemical reaction or solid solution. The purpose of metal alloying is to make material with specific properties such as improve hardness, ductility, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, etc. Some Common elements used as alloying material are Chromium, Nickel, Molybdenum, Titanium, Zink, Silicon, etc. In general metal alloy divided into ferrous and nonferrous alloy. The deference between ferrous and nonferrous is the material use as base metals. Ferrous alloy is metal alloy with contain iron/ferrous (Fe) as base metal, and nonferrous alloy is metal alloy do not contain iron. In this modern era, almost all of application and tools using metal as one of component materials, and more than 90% of metals used are in the form of alloys. So metal alloy is important and useful material with many applied in our life.
