PSDebug Instructions

Starting with version 4 of PowerSim, I have included PSDebug, a tool to help users detect any possible inconsistency in payoffs, or in the play of the hands. It is a patch that allows users to input any hand(s), any upcard and holecard (if !"# is not in effect), any running count and penetration, and any hits as re$uired to observe the results. %he program ma&es all playing decisions. %he lines I added to PowerSim to create PSDebug are all clearly mar&ed in the source code with the comment 'debug. (ou can use the )*asic search function and find them very $uic&ly. +ersion 4 of PowerSim is this e,act same program with all the 'debug lines deleted. %he instructions for PSDebug are basically the same as for PowerSim. (ou can use any .SI- file created with PowerSim for PSDebug, or create a new one. PSDebug always displays the hands and the shoes and never shuffles. %he inputs for the hands are self.e,planatory. If you ma&e a mista&e and input nothing for a card, /ust press enter again several times, and put in one or two tens for the dealer to get to the ne,t round. Ignore the totals and results for any impossible hands you input. %he running count and unseen cards you input are the numbers that will apply right after the hands are dealt (eg. when insurance is ta&en, if there's an ace up). %hereafter, the 0# and unSeen variables ad/ust as they normally would during play of the hands. I'd ta&e it as a great favor if you would use PSDebug to try any rule combination you can thin& of (especially rules including !"#) Do your best to trip it up. It's actually &ind of fun1 See if you can find any combination of hands that result in an incorrect payoff. If you find anything, please inform us immediately. If you desire, you're name or handle will be immortali2ed in the PowerSim source code. 3ust another way to put computer power in the hands of the people. Sincerely,
% 4an
