Essential Questions: What is quality of life? What determines quality of life? How is quality of life influenced by various factors (the key concepts?) How is living in India different from living in Canada? How is going to school different in India? What are some similarities between living in India and living in Canada?

Step 3: Arrange postcards in order to create a travel story When finished tie the postcards together with string Step 4: Show and Tell Share our postcard stories Quizzes, Tests, Assignments Venn Diagram Assignment. The students will think of Ravi in the story and make a Venn diagram showing how their life is different from Ravis and how it is similar Part 2 of assignment - postcard send Ravi a post card showing him your favorite things to do in Canada/ Fort Macleod Alberta Canada Ongoing Travel diary/ Journal The students will journal about the places we have seen studied in India so far OR Create an ongoing travel scrap book- collect images of where we have been so far. Brochure Students will create a brochure to try and convince other people to visit to India where would you recommend they go? What are some cool things to see and visit in India? Map assignment- track our journey in India / progress locate areas and regions on the map. The map should include the main regions and their characteristics. Students my draw or place pictures on the map to represent the areas we have studied. Festival Collage Performance Task: Post Card Story My New Life Imagine: You have decided to go live in India for a couple months and live with a with a nice Indian host family during your stay. Since you have been living in India for a while now, your family is starting to wonder what your new life is like and how it is different from life back in Canada. You decide to send your family a postcard for each day you are in India describing a different part of your new life. You will then use your postcards to create a story about your new life in India. At the end we will share our postcard stories and you will tell us what you think it would be like to really live in India!
