Assessments 1. Informal Assessment: When called to the SMART board, I will be able to see if the student understands how to count using the Touch Play method. 2. Traditional Assessment: After students have learned the Touch Play method while using the SMART board they will be divided into groups. Students will work together on a worksheet throughout the class. This will be a practice worksheet and will not be graded. 3. Traditional Assessment: Students will be given a worksheet during class to complete as homework. Students will turn in the worksheet the following day. This worksheet will count towards their homework points. Procedures

Materials List 1. SMART Board 2. Prepared SMART Board lesson 3. Have a number chart printed out for students 4. Pencils 5. Prepared worksheets for classwork 6. Prepared homework worksheets

Procedures

Counting the Numbers One through Nine T: Will explain the Touch Play method by giving an example while using the SMART board. S: While the teacher is explaining the Touch Play method students will be following along using their number charts. T: After practicing all the numbers together students will take turns using the SMART board to demonstrate they understand how to count using the SMART board lesson. S: While the student at the board is counting out their number the class will do the same by using their number charts at their desks.

Solving Addition Problems Using the Number One through Nine T: Will hand out a prepared worksheet to the class. Teacher will explain the first five problems and work together as a class. S: Student will follow along by using the Touch Play method. T: After the first five problems are complete separate the class into groups of two or three. S: Students will work with their group to finish their worksheet. T: Collect all worksheets once completed. At the end of the math period hand out their homework assignment that works with the Touch Play method. S: Complete homework sheet and hand it in the next day.

Adaptations For English Language Learners (ELL) I will provide translations for the numbers in Spanish.

For children with Learning Disabilities (LD) that involve mathematics, I will give them the same worksheets but will only except them to only do half the worksheet.
