College Draft General Information and Rules General Information The college draft is simply a way to incorporate college

players into the fantasy experience and create a unique, fun addition to our league. I think that this aspect will cause our league to be extremely competitive for many years. The general idea is that you have first priority to any players that are on your college roster when they get drafted by a NFL team. You do not have to place these players on you roster, but no one else can pick the players up until you decide that you do not want them. Draft Order (The draft will be a snake draft.): The draft order will be randomized in the following manner: 1. Each team will select a number and post it under the College Draft Order thread under the College Draft forum 2. I will then use a random number generator online to create a list of 20 numbers 3. The first pick will be awarded to the team with the closest number to the first generated number, without going over that number, and so on, so on a. If a generated number is lower than all team numbers that number will be skipped and I will resume with the next generated number Draft Process: 1. The draft will consist of 6 rounds during which each team will select 1 player from each college class and have 2 free picks. Therefore, at the end of the draft each team will have 1 Freshman, 1 Sophomore, 1 Junior, and 1 Senior and then 2 other players. a. Players may be drafted in any order, regardless of their class 2. Each round will have a different thread under the College Draft forum with the title being: Round 1, Round 2, etc. The draft order for that round will be listed in this post as well. 3. Each team will then post their pick as a reply to the original thread and list the 4. player they are picking, the school they attend, and their class level. For example, if 5. someone drafted Donte Moncrief, they would post: Donte Moncrief Ole Miss Junior a. You will have 2 days after the previous pick was posted to make your pick before you are skipped. 6. If you think you are going to be unable to make your pick during the 2 day period, you can email a list of players to me and I will make your pick for you. However, if you simply miss your pick you will be skipped and will have to make that pick up whenever possible. 7. After the draft is over, I will generate an Excel spreadsheet (see other document) with each teams college roster that is available for everyone to see. a. Any player that was not drafted during the drafted goes into a waiver pool (details below).

Post-Draft Rules: 1. Each team must carry AT LEAST 1 player from each class on their roster at all times. So the minimum roster size is 4 players, but there is no maximum roster limit. a. The only way to increase the size of your roster is to make trades (SEE BELOW). 2. The waiver pool, all college players not on a team roster, will be available on a firstcome, first-serve basis, but to pick a player up you must drop a player. A Waivers thread will be posted a week after the draft has ended under the College Draft forum. a. If you want to make a waiver claim, just create a post (with BOTH the player you are picking up and the player you are dropping) and I will change the Excel spreadsheet. However, each team is limited to 3 waiver claims each week, because I will not be able to process 100s of waiver claims a week manually. b. Just remember that you must keep 1 player from each class so if you drop your only Senior you must pick up a Senior to compensate the loss. Other than that any player can be dropped for any other player. 3. Trades will be allowed for any combination of draft picks, college players, and NFL players. If you trade away one of your college players, you simply lose that roster spot and can only fill the spot through another trade (Can not make a waiver claim to fill the spot). Additionally, all trades must abide by Post Draft Rule 1, if any trades breaks this rule then the trade will be vetoed and not processed. a. Regular College Player Trades: college players can be traded for each other regardless of class, an example: i. White Powder trades Donte Moncrief (JR) ii. Defense Team trades Laquon Treadwell (FR) 1. No change to size of college roster in this trade b. Draft Pick Trades: Draft picks for the regular NFL Draft can be traded for college players; an example of this would be: i. White Powder - trades Donte Moncrief (JR) ii. Defense Team trades 58th overall pick 1. White Powder loses a college roster spot 2. Defense Team gains an extra college roster spot c. NFL Player Trades: NFL players and college players can be traded, an example: i. White Powder - trades Donte Moncrief (JR) ii. Defense Team - trades Peyton Manning 1. White Powder loses college roster spot and must drop someone from NFL roster to receive Peyton 2. Defense team gains an extra college spot 4. Each team will have 3 roster spots on his ESPN/Yahoo fantasy roster that are reserved for college players that were on his college roster before they were drafted by an NFL team. In other words, these 3 spots are only for players that were DRAFTED, TRADED FOR, OR CLAIMED FROM WAIVERS BEFORE THEY ENTERED

THE NFL. If a team has a player in one of these spots that is not on his college roster, the player will have to be dropped. a. Players will be able to stay in these 3 roster spots for 2 years. At the beginning of the players 3rd year the player either has to be dropped or placed on the regular roster. b. Each year teams will have the choice to add newly drafted players to these roster spots or keep the same players and forfeit the rights to their college players c. No rookies/2nd year players may be added from waivers to one of these roster spots, the players have to be on your college roster 5. Each year we will have up to a 5 round draft to replenish the players drafted into the NFL. The draft order will be determined by the results of our NFL league, with the league champion having the last pick and the last place team earning the 1st pick.
