Setup
Unfold and lay out playing board - map. Place treasure chest game pieces on all available treasure chest tiles on the map (total of 16). Shuffle playing cards then give each player ! playing cards facedo"n 'unless otherwise indicated . the 4at character can start with 4 cards)& ,lace the remaining playing cards facedown on the side& $eave room for the discard pile& Shuffle treasure cards and place cards facedo"n ne#t to playing cards& $eave room for the discard pile& $hoose % pairs of eye cards (total of & eye cards) to use for the game. $hoose one pair ('-() and one pair (S-)). Pairs ('-() contain a card 1 and card %. Pairs (S-)) contain a card ! and card &. $ay each eye card facedown in a line ne%t to the playing and treasure chest cards& *ach player selects one side of the map to sit ne#t to.

How to play the game


*hoose a player to start the game& The game is played in turns, in a cloc/wise direction& The following are the actions each player ta/es during his1her turn: 1. -ra" one card 3raw one card from the top of the playing cards pile 'unless otherwise indicated . the player with the *amel has a chance to draw 2 cards)& 7f at any time the draw pile is empty, shuffle the discard pile and use that to create a new playing card dec/& %. 'ctivate $haracter 'bilities and .ove each of your characters The use of character abilities is mandatory. 2egular movement: -ach character can move 1 tile forward, bac/ward, left or right 'unless otherwise indicated)& $haracters can occupy the same space. !. Use any number of cards in your hand The cards in your hand allow you to find the treasure faster, to slow your opponents, or to directly attac/1defend against your opponents& 7mportant note: $ounter cards can be played anytime they are needed / can only be used against playing cards directed to"ards you and to counter another counter card. Choosing Characters

Rea"ing the eye car"s: !amples: Starting off


The first player will start the game by drawing one card from the player cards pile& ,layer will then flip a coin to activate character8s ability if indicated& 9or e%ample, if a player chose the *amel, he1she can possibly draw 2 cards instead of one& ,layer will then move each of his1her characters one tile forward, bac/ward, left or right 'unless otherwise specified as character8s abilities)& ,layer can play any number of player cards or treasure chest cards& 9or e%ample, player can play the :uic/sand card to ma/e target player lose his1her ne%t turn& ,layer then discards e%tra cards in his1her hand until he has only " playing cards remaining 'unless otherwise specified)& Then it is the ne%t player8s turn 'in cloc/wise direction)& 1. 5he treasure location is on one tile of the map. %. 5he treasure location is on one of the tiles that is NOT colored off. !. *ach player must see all 4 eye cards before he3she can dig to "in the game. 3uring the game, players can go to the various treasure chest tiles to collect treasure chest cards, each of which has a special ability& ;ome of these cards help you get to the eye stones faster and help you win faster& 0hen a character lands on a treasure chest tile character1s player removes the treasure chest piece from the game and dra"s 1 treasure chest card. *ach treasure chest can only be claimed once per game. 2f another character lands on the same chest he3she does +45 dra" a treasure chest card. ,layers can also go directly to the eye stones to collect clues to the treasure location& *ach time a player lands on an eye stone he3she can loo, at the corresponding numbered eye card. 4nce a player has landed on an eye stone he3she can loo, at the corresponding eye card at any time during the game.

Hint: Once you have seen all the eye cards, it is easy to find the location of the treasure by overlapping the cards and seeing which tile is not colored.

The game ends when one player lands on the treasure and digs for the treasure& -igging6 4ne of player1s characters must land on treasure location and "ait for his3her ne#t turn to dig. Digging must be announced at the beginning of the turn.
