Vision of Construction Bulldozer

I was standing on ruins and there was a huge ascending mass of construction material, broken up metal and cement, all in a place like a tunnel. This led from a lower part of a city to the higher part of a city. This area may have been under a bridge. There were stairs on both sides, and exit doors at the top of the stairs. These stairs only went about halfway up the tunnel-like area. I was being chased by a large bull-dozer, but there was a small bull-dozer stuck in the way of the large one. I tried to exit the door on the right, but it was locked. The dream ended at some point with no clear conclusion. God was chasing me into the city, and I should not try to take the exit doors. They will be locked. This new city I will be ministering in will have ruins, and there will be a transition of standing on scraps, broken pieces, and ruins. There will be junk, trash, and stacks of construction materials. I need to trust God to go where He leads, so I will head into the city.

Vision for Youth Ministry (from Student Journey)

I have experienced the development of the Overflow youth ministry from the start. Also, I have witnessed the Westwinds youth ministry, which began through a church ministry and later developed a youth center for outreach. I would like to implement the same things, with slight changes as needed. Collide (or Disciples Unit on Wednesday night *see binders) On the first Sunday night of every month we gather all of our merge groups together at the Hub for a great night featuring a great band, powerful teaching, and crazy experiences . Collide is experiential, image-driven, participatory, and fun! Were always changing Collide, but it is consistently a safe place for students to know God. Collide meets at the regular SJ time of 6pm. Merge Groups (or Young Disciples on Sunday night *see binders) Merge groups are small groups of students (same gender, same age) with two adults that share life together. Merge provides teenagers with care and accountability. Our merge groups provide care for teenagers by investing in their lives on a consistent basis. Our merge groups provide accountability for teenagers by challenging them to become the person God has made them to be. Merge groups meet at the Hub every Sunday (except for the first Sunday of the month when we have Collide) during the regular SJ time, 6:00-7:30pm. The Hub Teen Center The Hub Teen Center is a 501c3 non-profit teen center located in the heart of Jackson that seeks to provide a safe, fun, and positive place where teenagers can be developed into great people through relationships. The Hub is here for the teenagers of our city, as well as for those people who work with our teens. The Hub is faith based, and operates out of a belief in Gods love expressed through Jesus. With that said, the Hub exists for the development of every teenager regardless of belief. Our doors are open to all teens who will cooperate with our goal to create a safe, fun, and positive place. The Hub is open Monday through Friday from 3-5pm, and Saturday from 6-10pm.
