1 Adam Hogge Psy 1100 2 December 2013 Reflection Prompt: 4) What skills did you master in this course?

How are they reflected in the signature assignment and other course work? Be specific. In this course I mastered attentiveness and dedication. I strived to complete all assigned tasks and do the best I could. I feel that my signature assignment reflects this because, despite my best efforts, I learned how to work with others in an assignment and report to the best of our abilities, what we understood and then together, write our understanding of the concepts and use the appropriate verbiage to portray this. I learned to step back and allow others the opportunity to contribute. I was attentive to conscious of their ideas even if they were not my ideas, because I knew we all worked for a common goal. My increasing ability to dedication allowed me to attend out-of-class meetings to complete the assignment. It was not so much the content of our assignment rather the ability to trust each other in an assignment that affects all of our grades. In other course work and along the same lines, I have had to meet in a group for another class and have found my weakness to do extra out-of-class work with others, to improve and prove to be enjoyable. I neednt worry to attend because it might take a long time to get ideas out and to be on the same page, I was more able to lead and be directed and allow the assignment to be completed in less pressure but with the same vigor and exuberance. Specifically in my psychology class, I feel I have mastered the concept of the stages of life which helps to explain why different age groups or other groups do certain things. I feel like I have mastered

2 understanding myself and others by learning new concepts and terminology in class. I have come to realize what others expect or dont realize about their lives. In the signature assignment I used a combination of my two sisters to outline my babys character and personality and so my signature assignment also helped me to understand my sisters and their motives, feelings, and actions.
