Thomas Basini Elizabeth Hinnant English 1101 24 November 2013 Moodle Posts and In Class Writings Reflection During this semester our homework was to respond to the Moodle posts. The most influential post for me was the Molly Daniels video. I grew up in a similar environment, with a lot of the same social forces. Watching her really helped gave me the knowledge to right my literacy narrative with confidence. If it wasnt for that video, I would have never known how to write for that assignment. The most fun post was the Lorax, just because we got to read it. The Moodle posts were very helpful with understanding numerous assignments during the semester. The in class writings were my favorite part of the semester. I never really liked writing until we started writing random prompts in class. In high school we were always made to write essays, letters, and other boring writings with boring prompts. The prompts this semester were all pretty interesting, and not graded. Not having a grade taken allowed me to calm down, and just write. This class has turned me on to free writing. I hate having to write for someone, Id rather write for myself, and thats what these writings felt like. Being allowed to ignore the prompt, and write what I wanted, was what created the free feeling. I didnt have to think I just wrote, it felt so much better than papers that Im used to writing.
