I choose my actions, attitudes, and moods Grade: Kindergarten Lesson: Tattle vs. Tell Time: 20 minutes Materials: -The 7 Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey - A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue by Julia Cook - Cut-out of smiley faces & frown faces - Paper with scenarios of tattling and reporting/warning -Cut-out of Kindergartener - Tape -Blindfold Procedure: -Review Habit #1 story from 7 Habits book. Remind/review what it means to be proactive. -Read A Bad Case of Tattle Tonge by Julia Cook - Pin the face on the Kindergartner: -Students are asked to volunteer. The student volunteer is given a scenario of tattling or warning/reporting, and asked to say which one they think it is. If it is a tattle, they are given a frown face. If it is a warning they are given a smiley face. They are then blindfolded and spun around, and asked to stick the face onto the Kindergartener cut-out (like pin the tail on the donkey.)
