-Communicate the main causes and effect of World War 1 on American Society and how it globalized America. - Analyze the lasting effect of American involvement had on future choices and relations. - Discuss the multiple issues that occur during a global conflict. 4.) Describe the causes and impact of the intervention by the United States in World War I. Identifying major events of World War I Explaining how the mobilization of the United States for World War I affected the population of the United States Describing economic, political, and social changes on the home front during World War I Explaining controversies over the Treaty of Versailles (1919), Fourteen Points, and the League of Nations Comparing short- and long-term effects of changing boundaries in pre- and post-World War I Europe on European nations Predictions/ Purpose: I will separate the students into countries and give each group their goals. They will meet for 10 mins and decide what is the best way to accomplish these goals. They will have to think about the reasons they are trying to accomplish these goals and why they are in this war. It will set up for the lessons learned during the game and lesson.

Simulation: We will play a game that divides students into the different powers during World War One. Each group will be given resources and charged with making choices that simulate the same choices that the parties involved had to make. This will keep students engaged and allow them to take part in the lesson. I will take breaks after each turn to explain what was really going on during the war at the same time. This will show students what the powers in charged had to face while in a war effort.

Reflection: I will have each student write a quick essay discussing some of the issues they faced when running their country. I will ask them to tell me what were some key issues they had to deal with and how they did or did not do things different from the leaders in the real war.
