For my senior project, I will be heading the fundraising for the 2 !" season of #orth $igh %chool &acrosse. 'his will entail me organi(ing and overseeing all fundraising events and activities that the team will participate in during the course of the pre) season and the season itself. 'hese events may include a team car wash, a team holiday poinsettia sale, the team spirit wear sale and a team coffee cake sale. *dditionally, I will be responsible for composing emails regarding fundraising events and distributing these emails to all members of the team. *lso, for events such as the team poinsettia sale and bake sale, I will be responsible for picking up the items that were sold and distributing them to the appropriate members of the team, so that they in turn can distribute items to the people who ordered from them. In addition to the team wide fundraisers, I will be responsible for reaching out to additional corporate sponsors for sponsorships that will then be used to purchase e+uipment for the team, such as balls or e+uipment for players who may need financial aid. ,y goal for the project is to raise at least -!, in funds.

. Project Acco!p"is#!ents: &ist below previous knowledge ac+uired about

the project, tasks already completed, and materials or sources procured. 'he only previous knowledge I have about the fundraising that takes place for the #$% lacrosse team is the e.periences that I have gained by participating in the fundraisers during the previous three seasons. 'his knowledge will help me to determine what fundraisers are most effective in raising funds, and which are less helpful. $owever, I have never headed fundraising for a group or a team before, so the e.perience of coordinating between players, customers and coaches will be one that is new to me.

$. Propose% Mentor: Whom have you asked to be your mentor and

why/ Is this person willing to sign the student0mentor contract/ I have asked ,onica 1enters to be my mentor. %he has headed the fundraising for #orth lacrosse for the past few seasons, so she has useful information about the fundraisers that the team usually uses to raise funds. *dditionally, she will be able to provide me with information about which fundraisers may be better than others, and will be able to help me when I am trying to coordinate the fundraiser with the team. 2es, this person is willing to sign the student0mentor contract.

&. Tas' Ana"(sis: *fter talking with your mentor, list all the tasks you must
complete in order to finali(e your project. 'hink through the steps involved and the time needed for each task. For e.ample, what materials do you need to find or what do you need to read or learn in order to begin/ Firstly, I will need to create a list of the possible fundraisers that I would like to complete during the course of the pre)season and regular season. #e.t, I will need to narrow down the list of potential fundraisers and finali(e which of the fundraisers I actually wish to complete. #e.t, I will need to determine the appropriate time of year for each of the fundraisers to take place. For e.ample, I would not want to sell poinsettias during the spring or put on a car wash in the winter. #e.t, I will need to research whether or not any of the fundraisers that I wish to complete have start)up costs, and if so, I will need to determine how much these start)up costs are. #e.t, when the appropriate time of the year comes around, I will need to distribute an email to the members of the team detailing the fundraiser and what it entails. I will then need to oversee the completion of the fundraiser, from the collection of order forms to the delivery of the product. Finally, I will need to collect the money raised from the fundraiser and deposit it in the #orth lacrosse bank account. 'his basic process will be followed for each fundraiser that the team completes throughout the year.

). Costs * Materia"s: *fter conferring with your mentor, you should

research all materials and costs needed to complete your project successfully. &ist the materials and costs for each item. 'he materials that I need for each fundraiser will vary depending upon the

fundraiser itself. For e.ample, a car wash fundraiser will re+uire buckets, soap, hoses, towels, etc. 'hese materials do not normally cost the team any money, for the members of the team provide these materials when they show up to the location of the car wash. $owever, a team poinsettia sale will not re+uire any additional materials other than an order form, which again will come at no cost to the team. #one of the fundraisers that the team usually completes throughout the pre)season and season have any start)up costs, however, this may change depending upon the fundraisers that the team actually completes. *s of now, I do not foresee any costs to the team when it comes to fundraising.
