Lesson Plan Day Three:

Life in the City! Late 1800s Context: This lesson introduces what city life would have been like in the mid to late 1800s. The theme of moving forward is really present within this lesson because it begins with the harsh slums of city life and moves into how cities changed and improved for the better. This lesson really connects the students with what happened in the past. The students get to think and come up with ideas about how challenging life would have been like being poor living in a small cramped tenement. I want the students to see how the city brought so much economy and opportunities to people, like it still does today. Plan Number: 3 out of 16 Specific Learning Objectives
