December 7, 2013 Dear Professor, Throughout all the progressions I have completed the one I had the most

difficulty with was my progression 1 essay. My progression 1 essay was about me retelling a story about a life learned experience that impacted my judgment, and how a unique friendship was established. My progression 1 essay was titled Discover and create, referring to a friendship which determined the way I look at people and how I socialized with others, creating a new perspective. It was hard to figure out on how to start my essay, how to organize my essay and what details to include. I had a hard time reflecting that era and took a long process to gather up all necessary information to complete my essay. Recapping what had happened was challenging as I had no recognition of how things went down specifically and what words were addressed. I had to go to through the process of asking my friend for his opinion. It became challenging when all facts had to be placed in reverse chronological order determining when a certain event happened, what came first, second, and what was said. As I brainstormed my ideas it was hard connecting my thoughts, because I would have obstacles with previous events. Trying to extend my essay was difficult because I wasnt able to reach the minimum word count and thus creating a stressful essay. I was barely getting familiarized with the MLA format, which developed confusion about how to start my essay. This essay required research that took up to 4 days, and various interviews with my friend to determine how our friendship was created. I also asked my friend to give me his opinion to see what he thought of me to see a comparison in the views about each other. The essay was proofread and changed and structured so many ways, I could not figure out how to structure my essay and what words to include in my

essay. As soon as everything was narrowed down I began applying all the ideas gathered and began listing the events and feelings I had. After 4 days of constructing this essay I began to see a well-organized essay and began to see my thoughts aligned at an adequate level. Once the essay was completed I handed the essay to my friend to see of all the events were corresponding in the correct order. After he proofread my essay I had to make some minor adjustments and include a couple more events. After the essay was completed I felt relieved and accomplished because the essay was stressful, very complicated, and required a lot of remembrance of prior events. My friend was happy that the essay was accomplished and I was as well. This was the longest essay I had to do that required time, dedication, interviews, and various opinions but the outcome was a successful progress. In the end I learned a lot about this friendship, it is now the best friendship I have.
