The DLMS Campus Home page for
Learner
My Learning tab
The My Learning tab is where you will spend
most of your time. From this tab you have
five options:
• View My Curricula
• Launch My Courses
• View My Courses
• View My Course History
• Search Course Catalog
“My Learning tab” home page
View My Curricula
The View My Curricula is where you can find and
view curricula that you or your manager has
assigned you. It will also show your progress
toward completing the curricula.
Launch My Courses
The Launch My Courses is where you can run
web-based training courses that you have
registered for in the campus.
View My Courses
View My Courses is where you can view the
courses that you are registered for in the campus.
You can also launch the courses from here.
View My Course History
View My Course History is where you can view the
courses that you have completed whether the
completion was successful or not successful.
Search Course Catalog
And finally Search Course Catalog is where you
can search for courses that are not included in
your curriculum, such as safety courses, and from
there you can register for the course.
How to Add Curricula
On the My Learning tab, click the View My
Curricula hot link.
The following window opens. The table lists
all of the curricula that you or manager has
assigned to you, the status of the curriculum
(percent completed), who assigned that
curriculum, when it was assigned, and the
target date to complete it.
To add a curricula click the Add
Curriculum hotlink.
Type in the name of the curriculum or you
can just click the Search button to list all of
the curricula.
The system will display the list of available
curricula. Select the curriculum that you
want from the list.
The curriculum now displays in your
list.
How to View The Curricula
Go to the My Learning tab, and click the
View My Curricula hot link.
By clicking on the curriculum name such as
Electrical you can see the curriculum path
that you must take to complete it.
This is the curriculum path. You should
complete your curriculum path going left to
right, top to bottom. The system is saying
that I have started the Basic Electrical
Course. Everything in green tells me I have
completed those courses, and the grays are
incomplete. NOTE: You cannot launch a
course from here.
How to Register for Courses
Go to the My Learning tab, and click the
View My Curricula hot link.
Click on the curriculum name such as
Electrical so you can see the
curriculum path that you must take to
complete it.
You now see the curriculum path.
You register for a course from the
path by clicking on the course name.
Click on the Register button on the
bottom of the screen.
Click the register hotlink.
From here you can launch the course
by clicking the Launch Content button
or you can wait and launch the course
later
When you register for a course the system will
check to see if you have met all of the
prerequisites for the course before it will allow
you to register for it. You can always find what
prerequisites are required for a course by clicking
the course name on the path and then selecting
the More Details tab. In this case 3 courses are
required before I can take the Electronic
Components course.
The system will also check to see if you
have already registered for a course. If you
have already registered a message will
appear telling you that you already
registered for the course.
Clicking the History tab from the Curriculum
Path window will display the details of your
progress, when it was assigned, when you
started it, and your target date to complete
it.
How to Launch My Courses or View
My Courses
• The Launch My Courses and View My Courses are
identical in what they do. Many users could not
figure out where to launch their courses so we made
a duplicate menu option to help them find where to
launch courses.
• From the My Learning tab, clicking the Launch My
Course is how all courses are launched.
From there the system displays all of the
courses that you have registered for in the
Service Campus. To launch the course click
the Launch hotlink.
It appears that all courses are listed twice,
but it is not really the case. The first title is
the course and the one below it is the
offering for that course.

Course

Offering
If you click on the course title you will get
details about the course. The More Details
tab will allow you to see the prerequisites
for the course.
Clicking on the offering title will actually
launch the course. Notice that on the right
of the window you also have a Launch hot
link that you can click to launch a course.
Also notice that one course does not have a
launch hot link. That is because it is an
instructor led course with nothing to
launch.
There are also three other hotlinks on the
table, View Content, Drop, and Results. The
Drop allows you to drop a course. A
confirmation window will display to make
sure you really want to drop the course or
not.
The View Content allows you to see
information about the course such as what
the passing or mastery score is and how
many attempts you have to complete the
course.
Clicking the View hotlink from this window
gives even more details of the course. It
shows each individual module that makes
up the course, the amount of time you have
spent, and the number of attempts.
How to View My Course
History
When you have completed a course whether it was
successful or not successful the system will move
the course out of the My Courses section and place
them into the My Course History. By clicking the
View My Course History hot link you can see what
courses you have completed. You can filter which
courses that are displayed by entering the date
criteria.
If you completed a course successfully you
can click the Print Certificate of Completion
hot link to print your certificate.
The hot links under the action column will
vary depending upon your role. If you are a
learner only and not an administrator or
instructor, you will have only one hot link,
View Content and not the Edit or Delete.
The View Content hotlink works just like the
View Content on the View My Courses.
From this window you can click the View hot
link.
From here you can view the status of each
module in the course, the last time you
accessed each module, the time spent on
each module, your score and total number
of attempts.
How to Search Course Catalog
The Search Course Catalog hot link is used to search
for courses that are not in your curricula paths, but
you may also be required to take. A good example
some of the safety courses in the Service Campus.
Notice in this example I entered %Safety%.
Searches in the Campus work left to right and the %
is the wild character. My search is telling the system
to search for any course title, description of a
course, or keyword with the word safety somewhere
in it.
That is the Simple Search, but there is also the
Advanced Search. By clicking on the Advanced
Search hot link you can be more specific about your
search. A good example is that I am looking for
courses and enter my %Safety%. Notice the system
returns all languages.
If I add more criteria to my search I can
limited the results to safety courses in
English only. This time I select English from
the drop-down next to Language and the
system returns only courses pertaining to
safety and are all in English.
Another good example is that I want to take
an instructor-led course but I am located in
Arizona. I can enter the following and see
only the instructor-led courses in Tucson.
NOTE: The Location field means the
location of the course not your location.
The results tables that are displayed by the system
can be sorted by a column by clicking on the column
heading. I am planning a trip to Peoria in March and
I wanted to see if there are any instructor-led
courses the end of March. I can click on the Start
Date column and sort the table by start date.
You can also print the results
tables, export the table, and
modify the table. The export
feature exports a .CSV (Comma
separated values) file that can
be loaded into an Excel
spreadsheet.
