The student will need to be able to read and write and understand the importance of taking care of oneself and making decisions on their own. This would be appropriate for middle school and high school students. Specific Transition Needs: Students will learn the importance of decision-making, their self-esteem, listening skills, strengths and weaknesses, and thinking about post-secondary plans.

Learning Characteristics: This curriculum address areas such as; Advocating for Your Future, Getting the Job for You, Succeeding as an Employee, and Participating in Your Community. The student will need to be able to read and write and understand the importance of how their future will can affect them for the rest of their lives. This would be appropriate for middle school and high school students. Specific Transition Needs: Students will learn the importance of being a self-advocate, positive employee, participating in their community, knowing their transportation resources, job searching, using people around them for help.
