Practicum at Village Elementary School (Montgomery NJ), Spring 2013 Completed a Pre-Professional experience focusing on math and science teaching strategies. Student taught one full day a week, and was able to implement several science experiments and lessons on the water cycle, math lessons that taught transformations and multiplication, and conducted a math assessment on student knowledge of basic shapes and figures. Practicum at Washington Elementary School (Trenton NJ), Fall 2012 Completed a Pre-Professional experience focusing on reading and literature teaching strategies. Student taught one full day a week, and was able to implement several reading/literature-based lessons, and conduct assessments such as a DRA. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Anti-Bullying Workshop, Fall 2013 Dr. Hinitz instructed pre-professional teachers in anti-bullying strategies and HIB laws in the state of New Jersey. ELL Language Learners Workshop, Fall 2013 Dr. Jean Wong instructed pre-professional teachers in ELL language learning strategies, and tools to used to educate ELLs. Classroom Management Workshop, Fall 2013 Learned effective class management strategies. ADD Workshop, Fall 2013 Learned strategies for helping children with ADD focus and learn in school. Technology Workshop, Fall 2013 Was instructed in effective Smart-Board techniques and double-entry journal strategies. Resume Workshop, Fall 2013 Was instructed in effective resume building techniques.

Environmental Education Workshop, Fall 2013 Was instructed in Project Learning Trees Environmental Education curriculum. COMMUNITY SERVICE Volunteered 10-15 hours a semester with Homefront (a shelter for victims of domestic abuse), and the National Kidney Foundation; was responsible for organizing fundraising events. LEADERSHIP President of Phi Sigma Sigma, Spring Semester 2013-Present Responsible for planning and organizing philanthropy, fundraising, and scholarship events in my sorority and the campus community; sat in the Panhellenic and Inter-Greek Council Meetings as my chapter delegate. Secretary of Phi Sigma Sigma, Spring Semester 2011-Fall Semester 2012 Responsible for Phi Sigma Sigmas Chapter Excellence program; members are required to submit reports for all Community and Philanthropy events as well as Officer Reports to Phi Sigma Sigma Headquarters. I oversaw the execution of this program. Phi Sigma Sigma Leadership Centennial Convention 2013 (July 10th-14th, 2013) I was our Chapters Delegate, and responsible for voting on Fraternity Business (Constitutional Changes) and voting for Supreme Council elected officials (the women who run our national Fraternity) and volunteered my time philanthropically. Phi Sigma Sigma Leadership Conference 2013 (March 1st-3rd, 2013) Trained in chapter excellence, scholarship, philanthropy, marketing strategies, recruitment policies and strategies, and effective leadership techniques. Presidents Retreat (January 21st, 2013) Trained in effective programming and communication strategies, elevator speeches about my organization, marketing strategies for philanthropic events and other programming, and in leadership strategies for my organization. Emerging Leaders Leadership Retreat (November 4th, 2012) Trained in effective programming and communication strategies for use in the InterGreek community. Panhellenic Leadership Conference (September 15th, 2012) Trained in effective communication skills, how to foster good Panhellenic relations, and Panhellenic policies.
