What it does: Describes what she thinks a thinker looks like, explaining what "A portrait of the intellectual as a young girl" the image of the girl demonstrates how intense she is concentrating giving us an visual idea of a thinker.! ! ! What it says: Thinking is an action, thoughts are the laboratory where one goes to pose answers questions and nd answers, and the place where visions of theory and praxis come together. It the desire to know(life works) Children are predisposed(inclined) to be critical thinkers.! ! ! What it does: Explains how thinking works what questions are made, and how children are born to be critical thinkers, some more eggar than others demanding the who, what, when, where, and why of life.! Paragraph 3!

! ! What it says: Students reach Hs they come to dread thinking ( don't want to think to worry or unpleasant) All they need to do is consume info & Regurgitate it (repeat) at the appropriate time. In traditional higher edu students nd themselves yet again in a world where independent thinking is not encouraged.! ! ! What it does: Explains to us a problem; one that develops in higher edu , and how some educators do not x this and by the time one is in higher education one is feed up and thinks learning isn't necessary its all repetition.! Paragraph 4!

! ! What it says: Students cannot become critical thinkers overnight, they must rst learn to embrace the joy and power of thinking itself. (Engaged pedagogy is a teaching strategy to enable students to think critically restoring this ability)! ! ! What it does: Illustrates that critical thinking isn't something you can develop quickly, also how their is a technique called engaged pedagogy which helps to restore students ability to use critical thinking.! Paragraph 5!

! ! What it says: Critical thinking involves discovering the who, what, when, where, and how and than utilizing that knowledge in a manner that enables you to determine what matters most. Gives a larger concept of critical thinking by two different perspectives explaining it in different matters.!

! ! What it says: Critical thinkers question which is everything from information, conclusions, and point of view, and seeking to be logical and fair. Applying these skills to reading, writing, as well as their speaking and listening.! ! ! What it does: Explains to us how the questions critical thinkers answer they apply them in different forms.! Paragraph 7!

! ! What it say: Critical thinking helps you see different perspectives and become able to understand their point off view! What it does: Dictates what a critical thinker is able to do.!
