I will evaluate the pre-assessment of odd and even numbers by asking students their prior understanding. What does it mean to be odd? What does it mean to be even? Anecdotal notes and comments of students discussion and knowledge are recorded for evidence of assessment. During the lesson, students will be evaluated on their ability to identify their number, separate it evenly, and identify whether each number is odd or even. An observation checklist during and after the lesson will assess if students were able to participate in activity and if hey were able to grasp the concept being introduced.

The pre-assessment information will be used to identify which students have prior knowledge if odd and even numbers. This information will be used to partner students up for the activity. The during and post assessment observation checklist is used to identify the students who benefited from the lesson, and those that need further practice with odd and even numbers.
