Lesson Objective(s) Assessment(s) of the Objective(s) Use of Formative Assessment The lesson and assessment will help students identify and recognize numerals in a base ten-form independently.

When given a set of numbers, students will be able to read and write numbers to 1000 using base- ten numerals with 80% accuracy.

Pre- Assessment: Students will be asked to identify numbers placed on the board. During Assessment: Students will take on the role as the teacher while the teacher completes place value problems incorrectly/ correctly. They will also be partnered with stronger students in the class to help with any questions they may have. The teacher will be sure to institute least restrictive environment for all students, whether faced with disabilities or not. The teacher will be sure to be available throughout the classroom, at all times. Technology Used: Technology used throughout this lesson will include the classroom smartboard Materials: Classroom smartboard Plastic cup, Pieces of paper with students names on the List of assessment numbers/problems Procedures: 1.) The teacher will refresh the subject of place value by asking questions about previous lessons 2.) The teacher will place numbers on the board for the students to identify. 3.) The teacher will ask students to tell where the numbers go in the place value blanks 4.) The teachers will then write out a few numbers (Incorrectly) and allow the students to take on the role of the

placing of numerals corresponding to place value.

6.) The teacher will review to complete the lesson

Activity Analysis:
The very first activity that the students will participate in is correcting the teacher. This will allow the teacher to gain insight as to if the teachers know the content well enough to correct an wrong answer, while providing an explanation as to why the answer is incorrect. The second activity implemented throughout this lesson will take place when the students come up to the board two at a time, and write the numbers out correctly. While in game form, the activity gives an assessment of what the students can do independently. Ms. Aye Ms. Kelley
