Ageism, a term coined in 1967 by Dr. Robert N. Butler as an analogy to sexism and racism (Dickman, 1979), is the discrimination that people suffer by being a certain age. This term was created to be akin to sexism (discrimination on the base of sex) and racism (discrimination on the base of the race).
FIRST LETS' CLEAR THE TERMS THAT WILL BE USED ON THIS PRESENTATION
According to the Oxford dictionary we can define elder as
adjective (of one or more out of a group of related or otherwise associated people) of a greater age (J. Pearsall , 2013) We can also define the word old and geriatric
adjective (older, oldest) having lived for a long time; no longer young
adjective [attributive] of or relating to old people, especially with regard to their health care

ELDER ABUSE
It is a sad reality, but many elders suffer from abuse , what is more tragic is that in many occasions the perpetrators are their own family. The fact that the abuse is present and that the elderly are ignored or pushed aside is a form of ageism.
Ageism is an issue that needs to be addressed more frequently and given the communitys attention, because it is not an issue that is going to get cold or if ignored will be away. It is an issue that all members of society are part of. It is important to remember that everyone is eventually going to become a senior citizen
The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole
The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work
The distinction between fair use and infringement may be unclear and not easily defined. There is no specific number of words, lines, or notes that may safely be taken without permission. Acknowledging the source of the copyrighted material does not substitute for obtaining permission.
