Many people think that mentally ill individuals responsible for the mass murder that happened recently. Therefore, they think that prevent mentally ill from owning guns would decrease mass murders in United States. I decided to create a poster in order to convince them to believe that preventing people who have mental illness from owning guns will not decrease shootings in United States of America. I think that many people care about my topic because there is many innocents have been killed in schools, theaters and public places because of the shootings. b. My purpose of writing this poster is to convince my audience to agree with me that preventing mentally ill individuals from owning guns would not help to decrease mass murders in United States because normal people have done the majority of crimes. Therefore, mentally ill individuals are not responsible for the recent mass murders and preventing them from holding guns would not deescalate mass murders or even crime rate in the United States of America. c. I think that people who have mentally illness are not responsible for the recent mass murders that happened recently. Therefore, preventing them from having guns wouldnt decrease mass murders. My reason is that normal people have done the majority of crimes, there is no relationship between mentally ills and crime rate and the fact that mentally ills are not violent. I

choose articles and research to support my reasons and claim in order to convince my audience. d. People who lost relatives in mass murders are my audience because some of them got to know that there is no relationship between mass murders and mentally ills and also because they are the ones who have the ability to change the law or to convince people to agree with some law cases. e. I may choose public places such as universities, malls and coffee shops because there is no such specific place that I can find my audience in. Also, I might publish it in courts. I think that there are many violent cases in courts so it might be helpful for me to publish my poster in courts. f. I chose the poster to be my genre to convince people to agree with me. The content of poster should be summaries. It should be organized in a creative way by highlighting important thing or use different font sizes. The citation should be in the bottom of the page. I tried to design my poster inn creative way, so I put a picture in the background and type sentences in different font sizes especially the topic. g. The limitations of the argument are the space that I have to represent my point and language. I should include my ideas in small space. Also, I should represent them in a different language than the essays.
