Find the natural frequency for small oscillation about the lowest point? 2. (a) Start from the first principles derive the expression for response of spring mass damper systems for a Unit impulse? (b) Formulate the Laplace transform of a viscously damped spring mass system with initial & (0.) ? condition x (0) and x 3. 4. Classify Vibration instruments. Explain briefly each of them with simple sketches? For the system shown in Figure - 1 below, find the two natural frequencies when M1 = M2 = 9.8kg, K1 = K3 = 8820N/m and K2 = 3430 N/m Find out the resultant motions of M1 and M2 for the following different cases. The displacements mentioned below are from the equilibrium positions of the respective masses. (a) Both masses are displaced 5 mm in the downward direction and released simultaneously. (b) Both masses are displaced 5 mm; M1 in the downward direction and M2 in upward directions and released simultaneously (c) Masses M1 is displaced 5 mm downward; M2 is displaced 7.5 mm downward and both masses are released simultaneously
