INTRODUCTION
People working in offices need to communicate with each other for various reasons. None of the offices makes use of any system based application for communication. We plan to come up with an application that will be viable for communication among the employees without using internet.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
To design an Intranet Messenger which will be a chatting application providing instant communication within an office network. It is a java based application so it will require jdk to be installed on the systems. Employees only need to install the application on their system and then communicate easily.

Project Scope
To exchange information and communicate with other employees. To communicate with more than one person through group chats. For sharing files with others. For providing entertainment and refreshment.

Modules of the Application

This application would contain mainly these modules:
Client [Users] Server [Administrator] Message [Text & Audio]

Advantages
Instant Messenger will connect users using various platforms. It will provide easy and user friendly communication among the employees within an office. Helps in reducing use of paper and reduction in phone bills. Reliable, secure and stable communication facility.

Future Scope
We can add doodle (free hand drawing). Walkie-talkie mode. This application can be extended for video chatting.
