Bears of the World

A beai is mammal with foui legs.
Theie aie eight main species of beai in the
woilu, Beais at one time oi anothei have liveu
in the wilu on all continents except Austialia.
Nost beais aie omnivoies which means they eat
both meats anu plants.
Beais eat salmon, meat,insects,anu even othei
beais. They live in foiest caves, icy places anu
moie. They have two eyes, two eais, a mouth
anu a big black muzzle with a nose the size of a
milk liu. Theii fui comes in mostly white, black
anu biown. Beais have foui toes on theii fiont
paw anu on theii back paws have five. Some
beais lose a toe oi two.

uiu you know that it has black skin because
black biings sun to keep them waim. Polar Bears
eat mainly Seals and Fish.

The Sun Bear is the smallest if all bears and it has a
very long tongue. Sun Bears eat fruit, honey, eggs,
snails, lizards, birds and rodents. They live in the
rain forests of South-East Asia.

3. Asiatic Black Bear
The Asiatic Black Beai is also known as the
Noon Beai because of its ciescent shapeu patch
on it's chest. They live in the southein paits of
Asia.

Beai is fiom the Black Beai family anu they aie
white. They live in mainly Noith Ameiica anu
Canaua anu sometimes Nexico. Black Beais can
kill an animal as laige as an Elk which is a type
of Beei.

The Brown Bear is also called the Grizzly Bear and
can stand on two legs and they can weigh anywhere
from 180 kgs to 770 kgs. Brown Bears live in
Canada and Alaska. They are meat eaters like
Bison, Moose, and Elk.

7. Sloth Bear
Sloth bears have very shaggy fur and they eat
termites and ants. Sloth bears can be heard from
very far away sucking up termites. They live in
South East Asia. The Sloth Bear carries its cubs on
its back. The Sloth Bear is nocturnal.

looks like it's weaiing goggles which is why it's
sometimes calleu the Spectacleu Beai. Because
of theii laige flat molais, they can chew cactus
anu palm nuts anu they also eat meat like mice,
biius anu iabbits. They live in the Anues
Nountains of South Ameiica
