The following is a list of the Cayuga County Planning Board (CCPB) meetings and trainings which has been revised to
reflect the will of the Board at its April 1, 2009 meeting.
Pre-registration for trainings is required by 3pm the day of the training. To sign up, please contact the Cayuga County
Department of Planning and Economic Development at (315)253-1276 or by e-mail at planning@cayugacounty.us.
All trainings are free of charge and designed for members of locally elected and appointed boards.
TRAININGS:
This introductory training was offered last year and its popularity warranted its repetition. It is designed to provide
information on what special permits are, how they differ from use variances and other types of permits and the typical
review criteria used in evaluating them.
This training is designed to discuss the content of subdivision regulations, submittal requirements and the process of
reviewing applications.
The SEQRA process can be a confusing one. This training is intended to detail the SEQRA process while highlighting the
roles and responsibilities of the Planning Board and Board of Zoning Appeals.
This training is designed to discuss the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Phase II
Stormwater Rules and Regulations and the role of local municipalities in the management of stormwater.
