Clinical Teacher Interview Date: 10/21/2013 1. How do you write a typical lesson plan?

Do you plan the lessons on your own or does each teacher take different subjects to plan? Each teacher is assigned a topic, but honestly I make my own since its very different from the other classes. KD 2. What are some of your favorite resources for creating your lessons? Discover Ed., I-Pad apps, CMS wiki, Read Write Think, Reading A-Z. KD 3. In what ways do you differentiate/ make accommodations when making lesson plans? Give students manipulatives that need extra help. KD 4. What are some challenges you face planning lessons? Finding the resources, finding the time. KD 5. What do you consider essential characteristics for successful teaching? Being organized, understanding, flexible and caring. KD 6. How do you continue your professional development? Going to professional development, researching on my own, and talking to other teachers who have been doing it longer. KD 7. Are you satisfied with the amount of time you are allotted for subjects like, science and social studies? If not how would you change it? Why or why not? No, I would give some of time as reading and math. KD 8. How do you create your classroom community? At the beginning of the year do get to know each other stuff like two truths and one lie, make class meetings if needed. KD 9. What is something you know now that you wish you knew or had been told when you were in college for education about teaching? That you will be doing a whole life of work outside your normal shift and classroom management is more important than any teaching strategy. KD
