Applications

Introduction: We are designing a intelligent hand dryer by using infrared sensor. Now a days hand dryer is used in many applications like restaurants, hotels, offices, airports etc. this is used to dry the hands with the help of hot air blower hat drives automatically switching on and off which is placed at the watched basin. Working and construction: In this project we are using IR sensor that generates signals by transmitting and receives the signal with the help of 741 timers which is an stable multi vibrator that generates the continuous signals. Whenever the IR signal gets disturbed then the signal is given to the timer and that drives the circuit to switch on that blower to the dry hands. The name multi vibrator was initially applied to the free running oscillator version of the circuit. There are three type of multi vibrator depending upon the operation of the circuit. Parts of Project: I. Infrared Transmitter
An infrared transmitter is a device that emits a beam of light in the infrared range, which is just slightly out of range of normal human vision, and encompasses a wavelength of light longer than visible red light. Devices that incorporate infrared technology stretch from the mundane, such as television remote controls, to the exotic, such as night vision goggles used by the military.

II.

Infrared Receiver:
The portion of a device that receives infrared commands from a remote control. Since infrared is actually light, it requires line-of-sight visibility for best operation, but can still be reflected by items such as walls and glass.

III.

Infrared sensor
An infrared sensor is an electronic device that emits and/or detects infrared radiation in order to sense some aspect of its surroundings.
